The practical dlp.info hotel guide to Disney Hotel Cheyenne click & book

The Wild West comes to life at Disney Hotel Cheyenne, one of the Disney Hotels in Disneyland Paris, because the individual buildings of this hotel represent a western city, as you know it from numerous films. If you've always wanted to feel like a cowboy, the Hotel Cheyenne is the right place for you. The hotel is located on the banks of the Rio Grande, on the opposite shores Hotel Santa Fe.

Design of Disney's Hotel Cheyenne
The buildings of this hotel, with the exception of the main building, are basically identical. However, they are painted in different colors and have different names such as Wyatt Earp or Billy the Kid. The facades facing the street are also designed differently, resulting in a varied picture that conveys real western flair.

The architects not only applied this design to the buildings, but also transferred them to the entire hotel grounds. Wagons are everywhere, and horseshoes can also be seen, and of course a gallows must not be missing, after all, bandits have to be scarred away.

Hotel facilities
The 1000 rooms of this Hotel Cheyenne are designed in a western style and invite guests to dream of cowboys and Indians. Sherrif Woody from Toy Story is also present and will surely make little cowboys' hearts beat faster. The rooms are equipped with a double bed and a pull-out bed or with two double beds, so that up to four people can stay in one room. The rooms are located in the small buildings that line the streets of the hotel grounds.

They are all two-story buildings, so you can get a room on the ground floor or upstairs. If you have problems with stairs, please indicate this when you reserve your hotel room to ensure that you get a room on the ground floor or wheelchair accessible.

If the entertainment at the Disneyland Park is not enough for you or your children, Disney Hotel Cheyenne offers many opportunities, especially for children. There are some Indian tents that you can explore together, an herb garden and pony rides are offered in this hotel, but usually only during the main summer season.

Hotel special services
All guests of the Hotel Cheyenne can enjoy the Extra Magic Time. These are special opening times for the Disneyland Parks, usually one to two hours before the official opening of the park.
If the walk to the two theme parks or Disney Village is too long for you, you can use the free bus shuttle, which goes from the hotel to the bus station directly at the parks every few minutes throughout the day.
If you prefer to travel by car, this is not a problem, not only is there free parking at the hotel available, you can also use the central Disneyland Paris car park free of charge.

Red Garter Saloon, Chuck Wagon Cafe & General Store

Buffetbereich des Chuck Wagon Cafe

At the Red Garter Saloon, the bar of Disney Hotel Cheyenne, you can spend the evening with a drink and live music.
You should especially try the cocktails that are served here! By the way, there are also delicious non-alcoholic cocktails, so you will be fit to experience new exciting adventures at Disneyland the next morning.
On warm summer evenings or in the afternoon, the seats in front of the bar are very cozy, too.

Chuck Wagon Cafe
A Buffet restaurant in a barn-like atmosphere, but not as detailed as the Cowboy Cookout Barbecue, which is located in Frontierland.
The food offered mainly extends to barbecue dishes (e.g. spare ribs) and Tex-Mex cuisine. Breakfast is also offered here.

Tip: You should arrive very early for breakfast, otherwise the queues, especially in this hotel and in Disney's Hotel Santa Fe, can get very long. The options are not that great for breakfast and therefore you can skip breakfast if the line is too long, culinary-wise you will not miss anything.

The General Store is a western-style store that sells classic Disney souvenirs, as well as Western toys and magazines.

Architecture of the Disney Hotel Cheyenne / Robert A. M. Stern

The Disney Hotel Cheyenne, like the Newport Bay Club, was designed by star architect Robert A.M. Stern and is still considered one of his most important works and one of the best designs of the resort among architecture experts. It is based on the design of the sets of Hollywood's great western films, and the visitor would not be surprised if Clint Eastwood, Robert Mitchum or John Wayne suddenly came riding down the streets. In contrast to a real city in the American West, which mostly consisted only of a long street with a long escape, with a view of the wide prairie behind it, the Hotel Cheyenne was built with angles and corners, as was customary at Hollywood settings to hide the backstage area outside of the set. Stern himself said in an interview that he wanted to use the Hotel Cheyenne to create a backdrop that corresponded to the legendary Wild West, which is similar to the representation in films like High Noon. He succeeded in this in an impressive way.

The buildings of hotel Cheyenne and their background

Each building of the Disney Hotel Cheyenne has its own name so that guests can find their way around better. Since not every visitor to the hotel is a proven expert in matters of the Wild West, here is an overview of the names of the individual houses and their meaning:
