Don't want to stand in line for long? Then take advantage of Disney Premier Access!
Short or no waiting times at the most popular attractions in the Disney parks? That's probably what every roller coaster fan dreams are made of. In Disneyland Paris, this has been part of the park experience for many years, because there was the free FastPass. This Fastpass has now been replaced by Disney Premier Access and Standby Pass.
Disney Premier Access is an optional digital service that allows you to shorten the wait time at attractions like Big Thunder Mountain, Peter Pan's Flight or Tower of Terror if the normal queue is too long for you.
Disney Premier Access, unlike Fastpass, comes at a price though. If you want to use this new form to bypass the regular line, then there are fees starting at 8€ per person and attraction. The price depends on the chosen attraction and the date of your visit.
In addition to this priority access for one attraction at a time, there is also the alternative Disney Premier Access Ultimate, which you can activate for a single day, giving you quick access to 17 popular attractions in both Disney Parks at Disneyland Paris. With Premier Access Ultimate, you can use each of the included attractions once. It is available from €90 per person.
Alternatively to this paid option, there is the Standby Pass, which gets activated depending on the current attendance and waiting times, but of course, you can always join the normal queue as well.
Disney Premier Access, by the way, wasn't invented for Disneyland Paris, but has been used at the Shanghai Disney Resort for several years. There, the so-called DPA, is offered for particularly popular attractions such as Soaring Over the Horizon, Roaring Rapids, Seven Dwarf's Mine Train or also Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle of the Sunken Treasure.
In addition to shortening the wait time at rides, the DPA in Shanghai is also used for some shows and other experiences, such as meeting Mickey Mouse at the Gardens of Imagination or the evening show Illuminate.
It's important to note that you'll need a smartphone and the official Disneyland Paris app to use Disney Premier Access. While it is also possible to book this access at select locations in the parks, this process might be a bit complicated and take a while.
