Since 1984, the Walt Disney Company in the United States has been thinking about opening a theme park in Europa - based on the models of the Magic Kingdom style parks in the USA. In 1992 it finally happened: On April 12, Disneyland Paris opened it´s doors. Since that day, this place in the area of Marne le Vallée, which is not far from Paris, has become a place of enchantment, as it says on the park's inauguration board.
Disneyland Park is divided into five themed areas: Main Street USA, Frontierland, Adventureland, Fantasyland and Discoveryland. Each of these so-called lands has a theming specific to its name. The entire park is overlooked by the magical castle.
Disneyland Park is the most popular amusement park in Europe, not only due to the loving and elaborate design of the attractions but also because the Disneyland roller coasters and other rides are designed to fit perfectly into the theming and continue to tell the story of their land.
The special thing about all Disney Parks in the world is that visitors feel transported into another world after just a few minutes. Everyday life is forgotten and the Disney magic takes over.
